I just uploaded a few photos from some snowshoeing trips that I did recently.
The
first image is a solo snowshoe up a ridge in the Lucky Peak area, where I scaled 500 feet up the side of a mountain, sinking into 2-feet of fresh powder all the way. I captured a neat 7-frame pan of the Robie Creek/Mores Creek area below the ridge and stitched it together using the
hugin panoramic tool... hugin, a recent find, really saves the day when trying to piece together panoramic images.
The
second image is a shot of the Boise National Forest north of Idaho City. This shot was taken during a snowshoe trip with the kiddos to the Whoop 'em Up Park and Ski area.
The
third image shows a snowy shot of the Pilgrim Loop trail that we snowshoed. The kids complained about getting cold in the 17-degree weather... so we may need to beef up their winter clothing supply, particularly in the gloves/mittens department, since they mostly complained about cold hands.
The
final image is a late-afternoon panorama depicting the last rays of sunlight shining on mountains about Lucky Peak reservoir. A frozen confluence of More's Creek is shown by the bridge opposite of Arrowrock Rd.
